L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Partner, Myer, definitely knows how to produce a standout runway showcase, with its Autumn Winter 2010 Collection Launch being an extravaganza to remember.
APL Photography took snaps at the fashion soiree held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with the invitation-only event attracting a star-studded guest list of celebrity A-listers, VIPS and the ever-important insiders of the fashion industry.
Geoffrey Edelsten and wife Brynne were snapped at the event, as well as Rebecca Twigley, Chris Judd, Zoe Badwi and Ruby Rose. Milliner, Richard Nylon, was also amongst those captured by APL, along with Laura Dundovic and Ruby Rose who posed with her new engagement ring.
The stars definitely dressed to impress and came out to view the large-scale fashion show, with an impressive line-up of designers on showcase at this highlight on the LMFF program calendar.
Myer Ambassador and supermodel, Jennifer Hawkins, took to the catwalk and looked stunning as always, styled by Australia’s most coveted designers, sporting the season’s trends of sharp shoulders, embellished dresses and the love of leather. Menswear Ambassador, Kris Smith, also strutted the season’s hottest menswear looks, including the must-have wardrobe staples this autumn/winter – the leather jacket and skinny jeans.
More than 25 fashion brands from Australia’s largest department store took part, highlighting the newest season trends which will make their way off the runway and into your nearest store. Amongst the designers were Toni Maticevski, Manning Cartell, Wayne Cooper and new kid on the block to the Myer designer stables, Fernando Frisoni. Alexander McQueen’s line, McQ, was also showcased, in a tribute to the late designer.
Myer – it’s my E.R. for the perfect fashion-fix, so for the latest season trends and to be styled by Australia’s most prolific designers, head over to the department store for all the looks right off the runway.
