The Adventures of a APL in LA.

Day 1-

I arrive! It’s warm, the sun shines bright and cheerful smiling faces are everywhere. A short cab ride later, I am at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Imagine this is where the first Academy Awards took place. The porter takes me to my room,a luxuriously appointed pool cabana suite. I change with the rapidity of a model backstage and head for the pool.

Lying on a chaise, cocktail in hand, I ponder my next few days when suddenly I hear my name. Mr Anthony Licuria is heard, as I see a bellhop advancing in my direction. He waves a large envelope, which on opening I see is my accreditation to the LA Film Festival.

Still enjoying my delicious cocktail I start planning my diary. Tomorrow I catch up and shoot my great friend and ‘glamazon’, Silvana Lovin. Can’t wait to hear what she has to say. Then I start shooting at the LA Film Festival. My first film, Fruitvale Station, a gritty true story of an inmate that is killed by a policeman.

For now, as much rest and relaxation as this trip will permit. It is my only day off! Dinner beckons at Fig and Olive, the popular eatery on Melrose Place, before more cocktails at the Greystone Manor. I wonder if we’ll see any stars out tonight?

If I do you’ll be the first to hear and see, either in Covet Magazine or my APL Photography fan page.

Till the morrow then…………
