With the racing carnival drawing to a close, Stakes Day celebrated the carnival spirit with family. The day was slightly toned-down compared to the extravagance we’ve been used to from previous days, however the fashions, festivities and celebrities continued with style.
An array of floral prints and flirty shades of pink were a popular choice amongst the fashion stakes, echoing the good weather and mood for spring. Dresses appeared in an array of colours, changing the colour palette from Melbourne’s typical black and white.
The cast and family from Neighbours and Home and Away were shot on the scene, with cast members happily signing autographs for fans. Margot Robbie, Rebecca Breeds and Tessa James all attended the event, along with Luke Jacobz, who wore spots and stripes.
Jess Mauboy was a pink lady, performing in the Miss Shop marquee, and Naomi Robson, Daniel McPherson and Axle Whitehead were also spotted on the day. APL Photography also captured carnival favourites, Pia Miller, Rebecca Twigley and Rhys Uhlich, who have been devout attendees at this year’s race events.
While Stakes Day has wrapped up Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival, just because the horses have retired to their stables, that doesn’t mean that the fashion and celebrity coverage from APL Photography will end. There are many events upcoming for Anthony Licuria of APL Photography to capture, bringing you up to shutter-speed with the places to be seen, including APLs coverage of the AFI Awards in December, bringing you the best of the best from the star-studded event.
