GORDON RAMSAY Fails the cooking test with APL

Crown’s much anticipated Metropol hotel celebrated its grand opening with a stylish cocktail party, attracting Melbourne business moguls and celebrity A-listers to celebrate the success of Melbourne’s newest addition to the Crown entertainment precinct.

APL Photography attended the Crown Metropol opening on Wednesday night, and captured the Melbourne socialites celebrating the opening of this luxury five-star hotel.

Internationally renowned chef, Gordon Ramsey, whose first Australian restaurants, maze and maze Grill have opened within Metropol, officially opened the hotel and was captured by APL, adding another name to the list of snapped-up celebrities by this social photographer.

Vince Colosimo, Shane and Simone Warne and Anthony Pratt, were also amongst the crowd and captured by APL, along with Crown’s Executive Chairman, James Packer and the Premier of Victoria, the Honourable John Brumby.

The $300 million (AUD) hotel features 658 rooms and an exclusive rooftop bar boasting Melbourne’s most stunning city skyline views, and is expected to accommodate 250,000 guests in its first year of operation.
