Day 2 of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival featured the highly anticipated opening event, the David Jones runway and believe us it was impressive.
Among line up of VIP guests were L’Oreal Paris ambassadors Barbara Palvin and Megan Gale, L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Chair, Laura Anderson, L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival CEO, Graeme Lewsey Nadia Coppolino, Emma Freedman, Christine Centenera and more.
The standout of the show was easily the collection of internationally renowned designer Mary Katrantzou, which featured colourful designs with intricate detailing, perfect high collars, ruffled skirts and a surreal style that is true to her designs.
The runway featured an array of stunning Australian models including Jessica Gomes, Montana Cox and Samantha Harris and in true David Jones style, the show was nothing but fashion perfection.
Jessica Gomes opened the show in a flawless Mary Katrantzou’s dress which prompted guests to reach for their phones, capturing their own pictures of the runway. Australian designers Dion Lee, Lisa Ho, Collette Dinnigan, Ellery and Rachel Gilbert were also featured on the runway, showcasing their looks for the season.
The show ended in a spectacular finale walk featuring an array of black and white pieces by David Jones designers, and of course featured a fall of silver ribbons to finish the night on a glamorous high.
