ART IN MELBOURNE

Pablo Picasso once said, “The world today doesn’t make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?” Straying away from his forte of fashion photography, APL snapped art in another form, capturing canvases of talent at The Weekend Australian’s Art Melbourne.

The showcase consists of over a hundred galleries from around Australia and overseas, with thousands of artworks on display, from abstract art to portraits, to sculptures which may turn you into ‘The Thinking Man’ while looking at them.

APL Photography also snapped up the art-appreciative socialites who came along to the opening night, capturing Tottie Goldsmith, Brodie Young and Amber Renae. Coxy was also taking a break and enjoying the art, along with Pippa Black and Michala Banas.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so when APL takes photos of art, I guess it brings the word count to 2000. Art Melbourne has returned to the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton, and is open from the 22nd – 25th of April.
